Welcome to Ms. Irvine's World of Math

Hi all! Welcome to my website. I am Ms. Irvine and I will be teaching Pre-Ap Mathematics this year. We will be doing a great deal of hands on work and several projects, and of course we will play many, many games (as well as doing all the usual math stuff)!

What about Pre-Ap?

Pre-Ap Math is designed to challenge the academically self-motivated student who is curious about mathematics and desires to prepare for Advanced Placement Mathematics courses in high school. Students will improve learning/thinking/study skills with emphasis on problem-solving and real world applications. Students will apply knowledge of technology and connect algebraic applications to other topics in mathematics as well as other fields. The curriculum will contain material from both Math 7 and Math 8. Students who complete this course will be expected to take Pre-AP Algebra I in the 8th grade.
